Welcome to Luxor — the heart of ancient Thebes!
Upon your arrival at Luxor Airport or railway station, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative who will assist you with all formalities and luggage. You’ll then be escorted in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle to your luxury Nile cruise, your floating hotel for the next five days.
After enjoying lunch onboard, your discovery begins with a visit to the East Bank of Luxor. Explore the Karnak Temple Complex, an awe-inspiring open-air museum that evolved over 2,000 years under the reigns of successive pharaohs. Continue to the elegant Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and dedicated to the god Amun.
In the evening, return to your cruise ship for dinner as you relax to the gentle rhythm of the Nile. Overnight in Luxor.
Optional Tours:
Attend the Karnak Sound & Light Show, a captivating evening experience among the ancient ruins.
Enjoy a charming horse carriage ride through the streets of Luxor.
After breakfast, set off to explore Luxor’s West Bank, home to Egypt’s most famous archaeological sites. Begin with the legendary Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs from the 18th to 20th dynasties, where intricately decorated tombs tell stories of eternal life.
Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most striking architectural achievements, carved partially into the cliffs of Deir El Bahari. End your tour with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two immense statues that once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
Return to the ship for lunch as your vessel sets sail southward toward Edfu via Esna. Enjoy the Captain’s Cocktail Party in the evening followed by dinner onboard. Overnight in Edfu.
Optional Experience:
Take an early morning Hot Air Balloon ride over Luxor for breathtaking aerial views of temples, tombs, and farmlands bathed in sunrise light — an unforgettable experience.
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Admire the magnificent reliefs and towering sandstone walls that tell stories of divine power and victory.
Return to your cruise to continue sailing toward Kom Ombo. Enjoy afternoon tea on the sundeck as you glide past timeless Nile scenery. Upon arrival, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dramatically perched on the riverbank and uniquely dedicated to two gods — Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder).
Sail onward to Aswan while dinner is served. In the evening, enjoy the festive Galabeya Party onboard. Overnight in Aswan.
Optional Tour:
Attend the magical Philae Sound & Light Show, bringing ancient legends to life through music and storytelling.
After breakfast, begin your tour of Aswan’s landmarks. Visit the remarkable High Dam, a monumental feat of modern engineering completed in 1971. Continue to the enchanting Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis — relocated stone by stone from its original island by UNESCO to save it from flooding.
Next, see the Unfinished Obelisk, an enormous monument still embedded in its granite quarry, offering insight into the artistry of ancient stoneworkers.
After lunch, enjoy a relaxing felucca sail on the Nile, gliding past Kitchener’s Island and its lush Botanical Garden. In the evening, dinner will be followed by a Nubian cultural show onboard. Overnight in Aswan.
Optional Excursions:
Felucca sail to a Nubian Village, meeting local families and discovering their colorful traditions.
Abu Simbel Temples excursion — fly or drive to witness Ramses II’s colossal masterpieces, relocated by UNESCO to save them from the waters of Lake Nasser.
Enjoy your final breakfast onboard before check-out. You will then be transferred to Aswan Airport or railway station, assisted by our representative for your departure.
Optional Tour:
If you haven’t yet visited Abu Simbel, this is the perfect opportunity to take the excursion before your onward journey — a breathtaking finale to your Nile adventure.
