Chlorakas

Chlorakas holidays take you to Cyprus’ west coast, where tucked-away beaches and traditional tavernas rule the roost.

Where old meets new

The village of Chlorakas has two sides – one old, one modern. It’s got a timeworn collection of churches and rustic tavernas, which rub shoulders with up-to-the minute hotels and brightly lit bars. It’s not a big resort, but it’s only a 10-minute drive from the city of Paphos – so you’re not far away from the heart of the action.

Pick a beach

Little sandy beaches and rocky coves are strung like beads along Chlorakas’ coastal edge. The water’s spirit-clear and ideal for swimming. And the size of the village means the sand’s not overrun with tourists. If you do fancy a beach that’s a bit livelier, drive 10 minutes to Coral Bay – it’s all parasols, sunbeds and beach bars.

Days and nights in Paphos

A 10-minutue taxi ride south will land you in the city of Paphos. It’s good for a daytrip or an evening jaunt. If sightseeing’s your game, get a load of the ancient tombs, temples and fortresses near the harbour and in its historic centre. Or, if you want to get your groove on after dark, monkey bar your way from karaoke bars and Irish pubs to wine lounges and nightclubs.
