Enjoy lunch with a pyramid view before visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to over 100,000 artifacts, including Tutankhamun’s treasures. After breakfast, your private guide will take you to explore Islamic and Coptic Cairo. Begin at the Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress offering panoramic views of the city, and visit the stunning Mosque of Muhammad Ali within its walls. Then, enjoy lunch before heading to Fustat, home to Egypt’s first mosque — Amr Ibn Al-Aas Mosque. Continue to Old Cairo, where you’ll visit the Hanging Church, St. Sergius and Bacchus Church, St. George’s Church, and Ben Ezra Synagogue inside the Babylon Fortress. Return to your hotel for a free evening.

After breakfast and check-out, travel with your Egyptologist to the Dahshur Necropolis to see the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid, the earliest attempts at true pyramid construction. Continue to Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest stone monument in history. After lunch, head to Memphis, Egypt’s first capital, to explore its open-air museum featuring ancient statues and artifacts. Spend the evening at leisure before boarding your sleeper train to Aswan, where dinner is served on board.

After breakfast on the train, meet your local guide upon arrival in Aswan. Begin your city tour at the High Dam, one of the world’s greatest engineering feats, then sail to Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, an ancient engineering marvel still attached to its quarry. Check into your Aswan hotel for some relaxation, then enjoy a guided evening stroll through the Aswan Spice Market before returning for an overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast, then take a scenic felucca (traditional sailboat) ride around Kitchener’s Island and Aga Khan Mausoleum, soaking in the serene beauty of Aswan’s Nile. After breakfast, visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of ancient pharaohs.
