Then, reaching the Spice Old Market, get off the carriage and start a walking tour in the Aswan Old Market called also Souq. It is the best place to pick up spices, souvenirs and crafts. Aswan’s Old Souq is also famous for its henna powder and its delicious roasted peanuts, in addition to the hibiscus flowers used to make karkadey. You can also see the handmade baskets and trays around the city. The spices and indigo powder are prominently displayed.
